Taikooli Xmas Project

Taikoo li this winter will be covered by an unusual Christmas atmosphere thanks to Brand Head.

We have been working for long time to create 3 projects for bringing a totally new situation for Chinese people: the western Christmas festivity! Christmas is a foreign event and so it doesn’t exist in China. The major difficulty has been providing Xmas for everyone without imposing this cliché that, for Chinese people, come from nowhere. So we made some experiment to invent something new, as not to worry the customer about the cultural clash.

It hasn’t been easy to create it; we played with traditional aspects of Xmas, such as the tree, decorations, candles and stars, to set up something that didn’t exist before.

We elaborated the projects with 3D Design software’s and we worked with lots of material: metal, glass, PVC, wood, mirror, polystyrene…

With the help of 3D printer, we created the models of the final concept which represent the 90/95% of the final result.

After submitting the proposals to the customer, we were happy to work on the second one, after realizing that the third option didn’t have enough time to be organized. Also because of the supplier problem: in today’s China is difficult to find someone available to work with us in order to doing different things from standard projects.

However, all three options were interesting referring to the words of those who have worked on the project; it has been a great experience for everyone working for Taikoo li Sanlitun, one of the greatest and famous shopping center in China, and we have been very happy after their call for information.
